Sh Rashid terms opposition's ToRs on Panama leaks faulty

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th August, 2016) : Senior politician Sheikh Rashid Ahmad has criticised the terms of reference (ToRs), framed by the opposition parties to probe the Panama leaks, and termed them faulty and below the required standards.

Addressing a press conference at the local press club on Friday, the Awami Muslim League (AML) president alleged that Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Mahmood Khan Achakzai and Asfandyar Wali were playing a 'dirty match' for long. He criticised Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief for his anti-Pakistan speech.

"It is regrettable that those who have been elected minister for three times are abusing the country to vent out their frustration," he added.

He, however, said that the MQM could not be pushed to the wall.

He said the party could survive by eliminating criminal elements from its ranks. He said that the real issue was leasing out of over 2,133 km area of Gwadar to China for 43 years, which had irked the US and India.

He said the PPP was not in a position to take a clear-cut stand against the government. However, he hoped that the new PPP leadership, Bilawal Bhutto, would steer the party out of present crises. "I have entered into a new friendship with Bialwal and so cannot comment on the PPP anymore," he added.
