Sindh Development Studies Centre named after late VC Abida Taherani

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th july, 2016) : The Vice Chancellor University of Sindh Jamshoro Prof. Dr. Muhammad Siddique Kalhoro has approved naming of Sindh Development Studies Centre as "Abida Taherani Sindh Development Studies Centre".

The university spokesman informed here on Tuesday that this approval came in the back-drop of a demand made earlier in a joint condolence session organized by Teachers, Officers and Employees of the Varsity to mark the sudden demise of Late Vice-Chancellor Prof.

Dr. Abida Taherani. This posthumous honor has been conferred upon Dr. Taherani in recognition of her services for University of Sindh and for promoting higher education at large. On the other hand, Block "C" of Marui Girls Hostel of the University has also been dedicated in the name of Late Prof. Dr. Abida Taherani.
