
Slain Cop Laid To Rest With Full Police Honour

SWABI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd August, 2016) : Police constable, Muhammad Javed Khan, who was martyred during an encounter with outlaws, was laid to rest with full police honour here on Tuesday. The funeral prayer of the martyr was held at his village Shaikh Jana, attended by DIG Muhammad Tahir Khan, DPO Javed Iqbal Khan, others senior police officers and jawans besides a large number of people. A smartly turned out contingent of Swabi police presented guard of honour to the matyred Javed Khan and presented salute. Later, the Shaheed was laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard amid moving scenes.
DPO Javed Iqbal said district police had submitted an application for fixation of Rs 2 million head money on outlaw Anwar Saeed but it was yet to be approved. DIG Tahir Khan said the accused have made his mother and other women of his family as human shield by starting indiscriminate firing on police party that raided on his compound for arrest. He said due to indiscriminate firing of the accused, constable Javed Khan was martyred and two others injured.
