Steve Finn replaces Ben Stokes for third Test against Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd August, 2016) : Alastair Cook has named Steve Finn as the replacement for Ben Stokes in the England team to face Pakistan in the third Test at Edgbaston which begins on Wednesday. Stokes limped off on the final day of the second Test at Old Trafford midway through his sixth over and is expected to miss the rest of the Test series after scans subsequently confirmed the all-rounder had torn a calf muscle in his right leg, The Guardian reported.

Jake Ball, Finn and Adil Rashid had been added to the remaining 10 fit players who played in Manchester when the England selectors named their 13-man squad for Edgbaston last week.

Finn has pipped Jake Ball to the place in the side. The four-Test series stands at 1-1.
