Takht Bhai Railway Flyover To Be Completed Soon

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23th August, 2016) : The work on Takht Bhai Railway crossing on Nowshehra-Chitral Highway (N-45) would be completed soon and its opening would facilitate the people and ensure smooth flow of traffic. An official of National Highway Authority (NHA) told APP that its work was nearly completed and only a few beam girders were left to the placed on the pier caps. To a question, he said that Takht Bhai Flyover contract was awarded in November 28, 2012 and its work started on February 6, 2013. He said that the original contract cost was Rs.
582.124 million which was later on, revised to Rs.
851.524 million. He said the original length of bridge was 0.225 Km which was revised to 0.600 Km afterwards. Justifying the delay in its construction on the project, he said that the delay occurred due to the change in its original plan and design. He said that the government considered the project of great importance as Takht Bhai flyover was a gateway to 11 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and will benefit millions of people.
