Training Of Officers Is Vital For Introducing Reforms In ECP:CEC

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Augst,2016) :Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Justice (Retd) Sardar Raza Muhammad Khan said the training of offers is a vital step for onward introduction of reforms in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). Inaugurating "Capacity Development Training Programme for the Officers of Election Commission," here on Monday, he urged the officers to get training and ensure free, fair and transparent elections. He said officers should play their role in protecting the sanctity of their institution. The ECP has decided to enhance interpersonal skills and capability of its officers and the first batch has commenced from August 15.
He said that the ECP has started implementation on the recommendations of Judicial Inquiry Commission. The report had recommended initiating comprehensive training programme for the officers of Election Commission of Pakistan. As many as 28 officers will get training in the first batch, said Fida Muhammad Additional Secretary of the ECP. He said that such training sessions would continue for four weeks and around 343 officers from Grade 17 to 19 will be trained.
