ANKARA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -24th Augst,2016) : Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan Tuesday discussed regional developments such as the fight against terror, including the Daesh and PKK terrorist groups, with visiting Kurdish Regional Government (KRG) President Masoud Barzani, according to presidential sources. The meeting between the two leaders at the Presidential Complex in Ankara lasted about two hours, said the sources, speaking on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on talking with the media. The two leaders also discussed taking necessary steps for closing Fetullah Terror Organization (FETO)-linked schools and institutions in Iraq's Kurdistan region.
Barzani said the Kurdistan region stands by Turkey's elected government, referring to the July 15 defeated coup, which left 240 people martyred and nearly 2,200 injured, the source added. Turkey accuses followers of Fetullah Gulen, who has lived in self-imposed exile in the U.S.
state of Pennsylvania since 1999, and his FETO network of attempting to bring down the elected Turkish government.
