Vice Chancellor Sindh University Distributes Scholarship Cheques Among Deserving Students

HYDERABAD, Nov. 11 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Nov, 2016 ) : The vice chancellor University of Sindh Jamshoro, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Siddique Kalhoro distributed scholarship cheques among deserving students of Sujawal district at a simple ceremony held here on Friday.
The ceremony was organized by Students Financial Aid Office of the university where the scholarship cheques given by Zakar and Ushr Committee Sujawal were distributed by the vice chancellor among financially unstable students of various villages and towns of the district.
Speaking on the occasion, the VC said that this was not the only financial assistance option for students of University of Sindh as there were many opportunities available to the needy yet meritorious students.
The opportunities included Higher education Commission scholarship, Government of Sindh Merit scholarship, MORA scholarship and Need-cum-Merit scholarship by each district government in Sindh, he informed and added that the university management would soon organize a ceremony to award scholarship of Higher Education Commission among needy and talented students.
The chairman Higher Education Commission, Prof. Dr. Mukhitar Ahmed would be invited to attend the ceremony as chief guest, the Vice Chancellor informed and asserted that district Sujawal, Badin, Thatta and Umerkot deserved special attention by Sindh government due to scarcity of opportunities there.
