Water Level In Mangla Dam Reaches To 1235.20 Feet Against Maximum
Conservation Level Of 1242.00 Feet

MIRPUR (AJK) , (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point news - 4th August, 2016) : Water level in country's largest reservoir - Mangla dam Thursday reached to 1235.20 feet against the maximum conservation level of 1242 feet with live storage today 6.871 MAF on Thursday, it was officially stated. According to an official statement released to media by WAPDA on Thursday, the position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages remained on Thursday as under:- Rivers: Indus at Tarbela-Inflows 229300 cusecs and Outflows 200000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 38400 cusecs and Outflows 38400 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla- Inflows 25600 cusecs and Outflows 10000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala- Inflows 60900 cusecs and Outflows 43630 cusecs. Barrages: Jinnah-Inflows 247500 cusecs and Outflows 242700 cusecs, Chashma -Inflows 254400 cusecs and Outflows 230800 cusecs, Taunsa- Inflows 240500 cusecs and Outflows 220700 cusecs, Panjnad- Inflows 71300 cusecs and Outflows 56700 cusecs, Guddu- Inflows 272800 cusecs and Outflows 285800 cusecs, Sukkur- Inflows 180800 cusecs and Outflows 132600 cusecs, Kotri-Inflows 102800 cusecs and Outflows 80700 cusecs.
Reservoirs: Level and Storage: Tarbela- Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1523.50 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 4.866 million acre feet (MAF). Mangla- Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1235.20 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 6.871 MAF. Chashma- Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 648.50 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.264 MAF. The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
