Workshop Under "Your Career Track" Program Concludes

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th August, 2016) : An extensive day-long training workshop as part of `your career track' program was jointly organized by Department of Youth Affairs Sindh and Centre for Research and Social Development (CRSD) at Sindh University Thatta campus. Lead Facilitator Global education Active Citizen British Council Rozina Jumani and head of Professional Teachers Education Program (PTEB) for Pakistan Yasmeen Jumani provided the students with guidelines regarding career development and awareness on job-market and requirements of new age, said a statement issued here on Wednesday.
The training programme focused on importance of career counseling its utility in current scenario, the ability to take right decisions skills on CV and cover-letter writing, and confidence-building measures.
The program was designed to address the unemployment of youth by imparting them trainings in the employable fields; keeping the dire needs of society.
This program will help students increase their efficiency via well their updated skills.
Director CRSD Shahid Sheikh shed light on current scenario in the job-market, its requirements, demands and how to enter it and make a niche for one-self. Secretary Youth Affairs Muhammad Rashid expressed the hope that the workshop will help meet its designed objectives to hone skills of youth and better prepare them for the assignments.
Sindh University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Muhammad Siddiq Kalhoro distributed certificates among the participants termed the workshop as charming. Earlier, Pro-Vice Chancellor Sindh University Dr Sarfaraz Hussain Solangi, Program Coordinator Dr Shuja Ahmed Maheeser, Coordinator BBA Syeda Fiza Shah, Coordinator BS Computer Science Sadaqat Ali Bhatti, Coordinator BS English Surayya Butt also addressed the function. They lauded the YCT projects and stressed the need for organizing more such training sessions.
