YPF vows to tackle youth unemployment, promote peace and development in Balochistan

President of the Young Parliamentary Forum (YPF), Sayeda Noshin Iftikhar, reaffirmed on Wednesday the forum’s commitment to addressing youth challenges particularly unemployment and pledged to combat the rising sense of despair among young people nationwide

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Jul, 2025) President of the Young Parliamentary Forum (YPF), Sayeda Noshin Iftikhar, reaffirmed on Wednesday the forum’s commitment to addressing youth challenges particularly unemployment and pledged to combat the rising sense of despair among young people nationwide.

During an interactive session at the Quetta Press Club, Iftikhar was joined by General Secretary Jamal Khan Raisani and members of the YPF delegation, including Dr. Shaista Jadoon, Akhtar Bibi, Usama Raja Sarwar, Muhammad Iqbal, Saadullah, and Mehrdad. The forum emphasized the need to establish peace in Balochistan, noting that sustainable development and employment opportunities depend on a secure environment that attracts investment.

Noshin Iftikhar stressed that national issues should be resolved through dialogue, asserting that violence and armed resistance are not viable solutions. She added that conditions in Balochistan have not deteriorated to the extent of justifying armed conflict, and warned against external propaganda aimed at inciting ethnic division and hostility.

The YPF, she explained, is actively formulating youth-focused policies, with a particular focus on women’s empowerment and equal rights.

“Every Pakistani has a role in driving the country’s progress instead of simply blaming the government for the lack of infrastructure and basic services,” she said.

Founded in 2013 under the vision of then-Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, the YPF comprises 68 members of the National Assembly and over 200 young parliamentarians from across Pakistan. The forum has also launched a provincial chapter in the Balochistan Assembly, open to members under the age of 45.

Sayeda Noshin Iftikhar urged mainstream media to help build a more positive narrative for Balochistan and highlighted the need to counter widespread misinformation.

Noshin Iftikhar emphasized that meaningful progress in Balochistan demands consistent effort, long-term vision, and dedication.

General Secretary YPF, MNA Nawabzada Jamal Khan Raisani commended Pakistan’s security forces for their sacrifices in defending the country and expressed pride in their efforts against external threats.

Raisani reiterated YPF’s mission to empower the youth through platforms that amplify their voices and encouraged them to enact change from within the system rather than opting for paths of isolation.
