PALLEKELE, Sri Lanka, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th july,2016) - Rain and bad light delayed the start of the fourth day's play in the first Test between Sri Lanka and Australia in Pallekele on Friday. Sri Lanka were 282 for six at the close on day three, with Kusal Mendis' unbeaten 169 giving the hosts a handy 196-run lead in the second innings.
Play was expected to start at 10:45 am (0515 GMT).
Inclement weather disrupted play on three consecutive afternoons of the match, which looks evenly poised.
