Saeedabad Upset Strong Hashim Club In Dr. Shoukat Challenge Cup Soccer

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd September, 2016) : Saeedabad Club upset strong Hashim Club and took berth into the pre-quarter-finals of the ongoing Dr. Shoukat Challenge Football Cup being played here at Tehmas Khan Football Stadium on Friday.

The thrilling match was also witnessed by capacity crowd who responded well with their cheering support. The two teams Saeedabad and Hashim Club raided on each other territory with beautiful moves.

It was in the 9th minute when Hashim Club Jehangir took the lead through field attempt. Jehangir travelled past three defenders and zoomed quickly toward the goal-post and slammed a beautiful goal.

The lead injected new vigor in the rank of Hashim Club which kept up pressure to double the lead but due to tight marking of Saeedabad Club defenders.

It was in the 16th minute when Hashim Club was awarded a penalty kick Saeedabad goal-keeper Imran intercepted a forceful attempt of Riwan Ullah, thus the threat of scoring was averted.

At half-time Hashim Club was leading by 1-0. It was in the second half when Saeedabad managed their position soon after conceding a goal in the first-half and levelled the tally 1-1 when skipper Mansoor Ali slammed in a beautiful goal through field attempt.

When the tally was levelled 1-1, Saeedabad put in more pressure and their forwards made some incisive rallies of attacks as a result it was in the 55th minute when Mansoor scored another goal to make the tally 2-1. Thus Saeedabad after upsetting Hashim Club moved to the pre-quarters-finals. Anwar Khan supervised the match.
