Iraq Attack: 3 Days Mourning Is Observed, IS Claimed The Attack

BAGHDAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th July, 2016) : A three day mourning is being observed in Baghdad beginning from Monday after the deadliest suicide bombings in Baghdad shopping district caused 120 casualties, the attack was later claimed by the Islamic State.
The explosion stroked the Karrada district early Sunday as the shopping area was crowded by the inhabitants busy in shopping for the upcoming Eid on the weekend.
Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi announced three days of national mourning for the victims as he visited the site of the attack, and his office said he had professed to “punish” the culprits.
He also ordered changes to Baghdad security measures in response to the bombing, which security officials said killed at least 119 people and wounded more than 180. The brutal attack followed the re-catching of Fallujah, a militant of IS leaving Mosul as the only city of Iraq under the control of militant group.
