Mumbai, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News –16th July, 2016) : Famous Indian Journalist, Rajdeep Sardesai apologized to Sania Mirza, tennis star, for asking the wrong question. According to the details, Sania Mirza released her biographic book ‘Ace against Odds’ in which she revealed several facts about her personal and professional life.
Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan also attended the launching ceremony of her book. After the ceremony, Indian journalists were asking many questions about her book but famous journalist Rajdeep Sardesai asked such question due to which he had to ask for apology from Sania.
The journalist asked, you did not mention anything about becoming mother and house life, it seems like you are not ready for retirement yet.
Sania answered, it’s very sad that you think I am considering being number 1 tennis player in the world over becoming a mother, but I will definitely answer your question.
She said that such questions are always being asked from married women, we are not considered settled and unfortunately becoming mother is considered the highest recognition of women after marriage.
I think you are frustrated that I am prioritizing being number 1 in the world over becoming mother. The journalist immediately apologized and said that I really asked the question in the wrong manner, you are right; I would not ask such question to any male athlete.
