Paralympics: Sports Court Rejects Russia Ban Appeal

GENEVA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -23rd Augst,2016) - The Court of Arbitration for Sport on Tuesday rejected an appeal by Russia against the decision to ban the country from the Rio Paralympic Games over evidence of state-run doping.
"The Court of Arbitration for Sport has dismissed the appeal filed by the Russian Paralympic Committee against the decision rendered by Governing board of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) on 7 August 2016," said a statement from the Lausanne-based court. "As a consequence, the IPC decision is confirmed."
