Talking to APP on Friday Dr.Iqbal said that more than 125 million people across the world are affected with this particular skin disease.

The red skin after inflammation is the most seen symptom of the disease. Psoriasis in patients create a severe pain in the body and infected area particularly”, he added.

Dr.Iqbal also stated that the psoriasis patients have a maximized risk of rising diabetes mellitus.

He emphasized the importance of creating awareness among the general public about psoriasis.

About prevention, he determined that Psoriasis outbreaks could be avoided by adopting some simple precautions.

He suggested to the patients to reduce the severity and frequency of flare including frequent moisturizing, avoid sudden changes in temperature or humidity, sweating or overheating as well as scratchy materials like wool or other irritants and reduce the stress.
