
16 Kerala Youth Booked For Protesting Against IOK Killings

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st july,2016) : As many as 16 youth were arrested in Kannur city of Indian state of Kerala for protesting against the killing of innocent civilians by Indian forces following the extrajudicial murder of top Commander of Hizbul Mujahideen, Burhan Muzaffar Wani, by Indian troops.
According to KMS, the youth were booked for shouting slogans against the Indian army while the protesters claim that they had only recited some poems on Kashmir.
They were lodged in a police station in the city. Later, the youth were released on bail after the police charged them with various sections of the Indian Penal Code. The youth had earlier announced on social media that they would conduct similar protests in various districts. The protests are scheduled to be held in Kozhikode and Thrissur on Monday.
