20 SSU Commandos Complete Training
KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Augst,2016) : Commandant, Special Security Unit, Maqsood Ahmed said that the training of multi-purpose weapons play an important role to effectively crackdown the activities of terrorists and hardened criminals from the long range. This he said while addressing 20 Commandos including 5 lady Commandos of SSU who completed 15 days training about effective use of 12.7 Anti-Aircraft Gun course at Malir Cantonment Karachi. The Pakistan Army trainers have imparted the training with regard to use and assembling of 12.7 Anti-Aircraft Gun while tactical firing training was provided to Commandos at Kotri Field Firing Range of Pakistan Army. On the occasion, Maqsood Ahmed thanked the Corps 5 Headquarters for extending their support and cooperation for providing professional training aimed at enhancing capabilities and professionalism of SSU Commandos.
The Commandant said that 12.7 long range multipurpose weapons can target and destroy strong hideouts and bunkers of the terrorists thereby to foil the nefarious designs of the anti-social elements.
Maqsood Ahmed said that sometimes small range weapons cannot be useful against the terrorists but multipurpose weapons could easily hit the target/terrorists from the long range. It is mentioned here that 23 Commandos including 3 lady Commandos have already been trained about the use of 12.7 Anti-Aircraft Gun by the Pakistan Army trainer at the SSU Headquarters during the month of December 2015. The Commandant congratulated the Commandos for successful acquiring the professional training at the Malir Cantonment Karachi.
