47th Anniversary Of Shaheed Naseem Kharal Celebrated In Khairpur

SUKKUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Jul, 2025) The Shaheed Naseem Kharal Memorial Committee on Tuesday organized a story conference at Sachal Auditorium Khairpur to commemorate the 47th anniversary of renowned Sindhi short story writer Shaheed Naseem Kharal. The event featured 20 short story presentations and was attended by prominent literary figures, scholars, and admirers of Kharal's work.

Speakers, including Vice Chancellor Dr. Yousuf Khushk, praised Kharal's contributions to Sindhi literature, emphasizing his depiction of rural and urban life.

Dr. Khushk stressed the need to preserve Kharal's legacy and encouraged younger generations to innovate in their writing.

Other notable speakers, including Ayaz Gul, Adal Soomro, and Faisal Naseem Kharal, highlighted Kharal's enduring influence and socially relevant storytelling. The memorial committee recognized outstanding contemporary writers by distributing awards for the best short stories, vowing to continue promoting Kharal's legacy and inspiring future writers.
