ADC Sukkur Cracks Down On Artificial Price Hike

SUKKUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Jul, 2025) Additional Deputy Commissioner Sukkur, Bushra Mansoor on Wednesday conducted a surprise visit to the local vegetable market on Wednesday to oversee the auction and distribution process of essential commodities to retail outlets.

During her visit, she interacted with commission agents and buyers, receiving a briefing on price control mechanisms. ADC Mansoor emphasized that the district administration is closely monitoring the entire supply chain to ensure transparency and curb artificial price hikes.

She directed price control magistrates across the district to take strict action against profiteers and hoarders, warning that there will be no leniency for those exploiting the public.

Official price lists have been displayed prominently in all tehsils to promote transparency and public awareness.

ADC Mansoor reaffirmed the district administration's commitment to providing relief to citizens and ensuring strict enforcement of official rates across the district. She warned that immediate action will be taken against anyone found profiteering or hoarding.
