AGP Holds LEAs Meeting In Connection With Karachi Law, Order Case

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th August, 2016) : Attorney General for Pakistan Ashter Ausaf Ali on Tuesday convened a high level meeting of Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) and government officials in connection with ongoing Karachi law and order suo-moto proceedings in the Supreme Court.
According to the statement, the meeting was attended by Additional Secretary Interior Ministry Muhammad Amlish, Director Legal National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) Saqib Jamal, Joint Director General of Intelligence Bureau Anwar Ali, Director General Pakistan Telecommunication Authority Ali Asghar, Head Legal Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) Zeeshan Gondal, Home Secretary Sindh Riaz Soomro, IG Sindh A.
D Khawaja and other representatives of Law Enforcement Agencies. The Attorney General called for greater coordination amongst all LEAs and relevant departments and that new standards of procedure be developed within a period of 10 days.
