APBF arranging conference to discuss violent extremism's impact on economy

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -5th Sep,2016) : All Pakistan Business Forum (APBF) will arrange a conference on Thursday (September 8) to discuss impact of violent extremism on Pakistan's economy.

The core committee of APBF, along with renowned industrial leaders, entrepreneurs and government officials, will endeavor to find effective solutions for this dilemma during conference in Lahore, by inspiring a collective initiative from private sector.

The aim is to resolve business challenges created by extremism. President of APBF, Ibrahim Qureshi on Monday said by discussing issue of violent extremism and its effects on business sector, the stakeholders can suggest viable solutions to develop a roadmap and a perpetual mechanism to ensure safer and progressive business operations in Pakistan.

Pakistan has incurred huge financial losses due to extremism. Since the business community is one of the major contributors towards economic development, it acts as the backbone of the country and has been the worst affected.

Hence, remedial activities and strategies are needed to build confidence and achieve sustainable growth. The conference will facilitate insightful deliberations and wisdom-sharing exercises, engaging industrial leaders and prominent entrepreneurs. The conference will feature plenary discussions and concurrent thematic deliberations with valuable input from all stakeholders.
