Arrangements For Anti-polio Drive Reviewed

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th August, 2016) : Over 3 lac children aged up to five year would be administered polio vaccination during upcoming round of polio eradication campaign set to start from August 29 throughout the district. It was informed at a meeting held here on Thursday with Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad, Moatasim Abbasi, to finalize the arrangement for polio eradication campaign.
The meeting was further informed by focal person of the campaign that 800 mobile teams, 38 transit teams and 98 fixed points would be set up to administer the vaccine while 209 area in charges, 63 medical officers and 10 taluka supervisors would monitor the campaign. Addressing the meeting the DC directed concerned officials to spare no effort for making the campaign a success for the safe and healthy future of children.
He said that teams constituted from union council to district level should be imparted training and assistance may also be sought of social activists and notables of the area. The DC expressed dissatisfaction over the briefing of health officials and urged the concerned officials to work hard for success of the campaign and seek cooperation of parents for preventing their innocent children from the crippling disease of polio.
He also warned of stern action against negligent officials and asked them to covey him if they encounter any hindrance in their work.
