LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Mar, 2026) An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Friday extended the interim pre-arrest bail of Azam Swati until April 3 in multiple May 9 cases, including those related to attacks on Jinnah House, Askari Tower and the torching of Shadman Police Station.
Duty Judge Arshad Javed heard the bail petitions at the anti-terrorism court, where Azam Swati appeared to mark his attendance following the expiry of his previous interim bail period.
The court extended his relief till April 3 and directed his counsel to complete arguments on the bail applications at the next hearing.
Azam Swati has sought pre-arrest bail in several cases linked to the May 9 violence, including the Jinnah House and Askari Tower attack cases. PTI leaders in these cases face allegations of sedition and inciting party workers to commit arson and violent acts during the unrest.
