
Attock Court Awards Death Sentence, Life Imprisonment In Murder Case

ATTOCK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th May, 2026) A local court in Attock on Friday awarded the death sentence to a high-profile murderer and life imprisonment to another after effective investigation by police and strong prosecution.
According to police sources, FIR No. 459 was registered at Attock City Police Station on June 15, 2024, in connection with charges of murder and attempted murder.
Following effective investigation, solid evidence, and credible witness testimonies, Sessions Judge Malik Ali Zulqarnain Awan announced the verdict.
The court sentenced accused Asad Sultan to death after charges under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code were proven against him.
He was also awarded 10 years rigorous imprisonment under Section 324 PPC for attempted murder.
Co-accused Osama Sultan was sentenced to life imprisonment under Section 302 PPC. The court also awarded him 10 years rigorous imprisonment under Section 324 PPC and an additional two years rigorous imprisonment under Section 337-F(iii) PPC.
Police officials termed the verdict a major success of professional investigation and reiterated their commitment to ensuring justice in serious criminal cases.
