Constitutional Amendments made in the past for the sake of prolonging power in the name of provincial autonomy are the biggest obstacle to the country’s development. Khawaja Rameez Hassan

State needs concrete reforms and constitutional amendments to deal with class division, administrative chaos, lack of a uniform education system& especially the current economic situation. Leader of the Muslim League-Q

Lahore (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th May, 2026) Talking about the recent economic and administrative& economic crisis, Muslim League-Q leader Khawaja Rameez Hassan said that the amendments made in the past for the sake of prolonging power in the name of provincial autonomy are the biggest obstacle to the country’s development. He said that these amendments made by the past governments weakened the federation and badly affected the Federal unit.He said that the lack of uniformity and similarity in the uniform education system and syllabus is a sinister conspiracy against the new generation that is securing the future of Pakistan, a clear example of which is the current lack of admission and education of more than 20 million minor children in schools.
He said that the lives of the common people have become miserable due to the unsound administrative policies of the provinces in the name of provincial autonomy.

At present, inflation and unemployment are the biggest challenges for the state.
Serious steps are needed for administrative reforms to address the growing population and problems.
In this regard, the division of provinces at the administrative and political levels can help to a great extent in running administrative affairs efficiently and in delivering State welfare benefits to the grassroots level.
He said that a desperate nation suffering from economic weakness is a very easy target for anti-Pakistan elements.

The budget of trillions of rupees from the federation in the name of NFC award is a question mark on provincial autonomy. In this regard, the burden of external debts on the federation is increasing day by day, due to which class division is emerging. He said that solid reforms and constitutional amendments are the need of the hour to deal with the current economic situation.
