
BISE Announces SSC Results With 72.98 Pass Percentage

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th july, 2016) : The Board of Intermediate and Secondary education (BISE) Faisalabad announced the result of Secondary school Certificate (SSC) Examination 2016, here on Wednesday. Parliamentarians including Faqeer Hussain Dogar, Haji Kahlid Saeed, Haji Ilyas Ansari, Azad Ali Tabassum, Rashida Yaqoob, Mian Muhammad Rafique, GCUF Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Ali, Chairman BISE Prof Ghulam Muhammad Jhaggar and Controller Examination Dr Muhammad Zafar Iqbal Tahir uploaded the result on website by pressing button on computer in a simple but impressive ceremony held at BISE auditorium. Heads of government and private schools, teachers, parents and relatives of position holder students and a large number of people were present in the ceremony. The prize distribution ceremony was curtailed due to sudden demise of board official Abdul Jabbar Sahutra of secrecy branch few minutes before starting.
According to gazette notification, Shahram Tabassum Roll No 446492 of LaSalle High Scholl Peoples Colony No.1 Faisalabad secured overall first position by getting 1080/1100.
Afaq Mahmood Roll No 452084 of Divisional Public School and College Faisalabad got second position by getting 1079/1100 marks and Fatima Roll No 412097 of Sandal College/School girls section Millat Road Faisalabad secured 1078/1100 marks and remained third in the examination. A total of 145,827 candidates appeared in the examination, of whom 106,426 were declared successful, thus showing a pass percentage of 72.98. As many as 95,256 candidates appeared in science group, of whom 73,174 were declared successful while 50,571 candidates appeared in the general group examination, of whom 33,252 were declared pass.
Later, prizes and medals were distributed among the position holders.
