CDGL continues drive against overcharging

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Nov, 2016 ) : The City District Government Lahore (CDGL) continuing its drive against overcharging conducted raids on 889 shops across the provincial capital, here on Tuesday.

As many as 88 shopkeepers were got arrested out of which 12 were sent to prison for three days after summary trial on the spot.

The price control magistrates also lodged 50 FIRs against the shopkeepers in various police stations.

District administration challaned 24 shopkeepers besides imposing fine worth Rs 45,500 on violators of price act. DCO Capt.(R) Muhammad Usman issued directions to the price control officials to continue crackdown against the hoarders and profiteers.
