CM expresses sorrow over death of doctor,nurse

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th july, 2016) : Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has expressed deep sense of sorrow and grief over the death of a doctor and nurse due to Congo virus in Bahawalpur.

Taking notice of the incident, the Chief Minister sought a report from Secretary Health and Secretary Livestock.

Shehbaz Sharif directed that all out steps should be taken for protection against Congo virus.

He said that complete implementation of the procedure evolved in this regard should be ensured. Besides taking precautionary measures for protection against Congo virus, public awareness campaign should also be launched in this regard, he added. The Chief Minister further directed that work of screening of animals should be conducted on emergent basis.
