CM Pays Tribute To Capt. Sarwar Shaheed

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Jul, 2025) Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif paid glowing tribute to Captain Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed, the first recipient of the Nishan-e-Haider, on his martyrdom anniversary.

In her message, the chief minister said, “Captain Sarwar Shaheed is a symbol of unmatched courage and bravery for the nation.

His martyrdom on July 27, 1948, is a guiding light for every Pakistani and a reflection of the spirit of sacrifice that defines our national identity.” She added that Captain Sarwar Shaheed proved that love for the motherland is part of faith, and defending one’s homeland is nothing less than an act of worship.

“The nation will never forget its heroes,” Maryam Nawaz Sharif stated. “I salute the supreme sacrifices of all our martyrs, including Captain Sarwar Shaheed, who laid down their lives so we could live in freedom and dignity.”
