
Commissioner Announces Formation Of Joint Committee To Resolve Business Issues

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Oct, 2025) Divisional Commissioner Raja Jahangir Anwar has announced that a high-level joint committee would be constituted soon to address the issues being faced by business community of Faisalabad in addition to strengthening coordination among all concerned departments.
He made this announcement during a meeting with President Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) Farooq Yousaf Sheikh at FCCI Complex, where FCCI Chief also congratulated him on assuming charge of his new office.
During meeting, FCCI President highlighted key challenges confronting traders and industrialists the city and expressed chamber’s willingness to work jointly with the administration for improvement of infrastructure and overall development of the city.
Divisional Commissioner appreciated the vital role played by business and industrial community of Faisalabad in supporting the national economy and termed it as a driving force behind comprehensive progress of the city.
He said that a high-level committee would be constituted very soon to address issues of the business community. This committee would meet monthly under the supervision of Additional Commissioner who would serve as focal person to ensure prompt resolution of the issues raised by the FCCI.
He assured that every possible step would be taken to facilitate trade and industry through improved coordination among all departments.
He highlighted the condition of city’s infrastructure and said that roads and civic framework of Faisalabad were nearly a decade old and in dire need of restoration.
He said that he would approach Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz and Additional Chief Secretary to secure necessary funds for rehabilitation and up-gradation of roads and basic infrastructure in the city.
