Commissioner Mirpurkhas Constitutes Bonded Labour Vigilance Committees

MIRPURKHAS, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Nov, 2016 ) : The commissioner Mirpurkhas, Shafique Ahmed Mahesar has constituted district vigilance committees for enforcement of laws and regulations against bonded labour.

According to hand out issued by Sindh Information department here on Tuesday vigilance committees for Mirpurkhas, Tharparkar and Umerkot districts were formed in pursuance of a letter issued by Sindh Labour and Human Resources department.

The concerned deputy commissioner of the district would head the committee and district labour officer would act as secretary while representatives of concerned district councils, district administration, district bar, journalists and civil society were included in the committees.

The committees would forward their recommendations for thorough enforcement of laws and regulations regarding bonded labour, the handout said and added that vigilance committee would extend assistance for rehabilitation of bonded labour as well.
