CPEC's Expansion To Central Asia Via Afghanistan Beneficial For Region: Governor Balochistan

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Augst,2016) : Governor Balochistan, Muhammad Khan Achakzai has said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) expansion to Central Asia through Afghanistan would not only be useful for development and prosperity of both Pakistan and Afghanistan but also for the entire region. He said, South Asia and Central Asia would become hub of economic and trade activities after completion of CPEC. Talking to Afghanistan's Ambassador to Pakistan, Dr.
Omar Zakhilwal who called on him at Governor House Quetta, he also stressed to further enhance Pak-Afghan bilateral economic, trade and cultural relations. The Governor said, Pakistan and Afghanistan were brotherly and neighbouring countries and a bright future could be ensured as a result of mutual cooperation and collaboration between the two countries.
The Afghan Ambassador said, at present, 100,000 Pakistanis were working in Afghanistan, adding, the expansion of CPEC to Central Asia via Afghanistan would further enhance importance of this multi-billion Dollar initiative. He opined that Central Asia particularly Afghanistan could become a profitable market for Pakistani goods. Both the countries could eliminate extremism and terrorism by enhancing economic and trade activities.
