Development Work On PHA Projects In Full Swing

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -27th Augst,2016) : The development work on Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) projects are continued to make the city beautiful and providing healthy environment for the people. In this regard, the PHA has started construction and renovation of Parks, Green belts, Intersections and roads for which Rs 229.7 millions had also been approved by the authority out of which Rs 50 million would be spent on development projects and Rs 70 million for the salaries, operation and maintenance. The Authority has approved the renovation of Company Bagh and Mela Mandi ground with a cost of Rs 4 million and work on these projects have also been started. A total Rs 20 million funds have been allocated for the construction of PHA office and Rs 0.15 million for the construction of Tahli Chowk, New Satellite town while tender in this regard has also been initiated for construction of Eid Gah with Rs 0.22 million. The work on Lahore road by-Pass intersection has been completed while work was under way on twelve intersections of the city including at Toop chowk, Quanchi Moor, Deputy Zafarullah Chowk, Commissioner House chowk, DPO office chowk, Bismillah chowk, Satellite town chowk, Gill Wala and Jhal Chakian chowk.
The DCO/DG Danish Afzal told this scribe that the Commissioner Sargodha, Nadeem Mehboob has directed the PHA for construction of green belts in adjacent areas of the Lower Jhelum Canal located in the city, and provide entertainment facilities for the people. He said that PHA was taking initiatives for development and beautification of the city and introducing new recreational projects for uplifting the beauty of district. The Chairperson, board of Director (BoD), Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA)/MPA, Dr Nadia Aziz said that PHA was making efforts for beatification of the city adding that various parks and intersections were being renovated while new construction at main roads would also be started soon. Nadia Aziz said that government providing facilities for improving lifestyles of the people and all out efforts would be made to provide best living environment for the people.
