
ECP To Hold Bye Elections In NA-63 On August 31

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st August, 2016) : The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced schedule to hold by-elections in NA-63 Jhelum-II on August 31, 2016. According to the schedule issued by the Election Commission of Pakistan here on Monday, the candidates will be able to file appeals (if any) to the tribunal against the decisions of the returning officers till August 8.
The tribunal will decide appeals on August 10, the spokesman of the ECP said. The candidates will be allowed to withdraw their nomination papers until August 12 and on the same day the final list of candidates will be published, he added. It may be mentioned here that nomination papers has already been filed with ECP.
The seat was vacated due to the death of Member National Assembly Malik Iqbal Mehdi Khan.
