Elections Process Is Smoothly Coming To Its End In AJK:CEC

MUZAFFARABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21th july, 2016) : The Chief Election Commissioner AJK Justice Ghulam Mustafa Mughal has said that election process is smoothly coming to its conclusion in a transparent and impartial manner while the people used their vote without fear and pressure.
He was talking to media while visiting different polling stations of LA-3 Mirpur -III. He was accompanied by AJK Chief Secretary Sultan Sikander and IGP Bashir Memen. Earlier, he was received by Commissioner Mirpur Division Raja Pervez Amjad Ali, DIG Mirpur Sardar Gulfraz Khan, DC Chaudhry Muhammad Iqbal and Election Security Incharge Mirpur Division Brigadier Muhammad Faisal and others at Helipad while coming from Rawalakot.
On the occasion he visited several polling stations and enquired about the polling process from polling staff and expressed his confidence over law enforcement agencies for maintenance of peace during the polling process.
Replying to questions he said that overall law and order situation remained under control however, few small incidents took place which not only were thwarted but persons involved were arrested on the spot.
He said foolproof security arrangements had been made to meet the challenge. The AJK Chief Secretary Sultan Sikander on the occasion said that no stone was left unturned to ensure security for both for voters and polling staff, which was a big challenge. He said the army and police provided a friendly and peaceful environment to the voters for casting their votes according to their will.
He also expressed the hope that polling process will come to an end successfully.
