
FDA DG Vows Zero Tolerance For Corruption, Delays

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Sep, 2026) Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Director General (DG) Muhammad Asif Chaudhry has vowed to establish a transparent, corruption-free and citizen-friendly office system, warning that corruption, misuse of authority, negligence and unjustified delays in public matters would not be tolerated.
Chairing a meeting of FDA officers, the DG directed officials to dispose of applications and cases promptly, strictly on merit and in accordance with rules. He ordered that pending matters be resolved on a priority basis and said action would be taken against officials found creating unnecessary hurdles or delaying legitimate cases.
He directed the Additional Director General to closely monitor staff performance and said employees found involved in corruption would face strict departmental action, including dismissal where warranted, after due process.
Chaudhry said the Punjab government was committed to curbing corruption and ensuring merit-based public services. He stressed that the FDA was a public-service institution and citizens should be treated with respect and provided convenient services through transparent procedures.
He also said officers demonstrating integrity and exemplary performance would be encouraged, while those involved in corruption, malpractice, negligence or abuse of authority would face indiscriminate action.
The DG further directed officials to strengthen the monitoring and follow-up mechanism for timely redress of public complaints and improved institutional performance.
