FIA Seeks Information From Sites Regarding Release Of Fake Picture

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Dec, 2016 ) : The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Thursday sought access from various social media sites to the information related to the release of fake picture of key government and judicial figures.

In a statement, Spokesman of the Ministry of Interior and Narcotics Control said that in compliance of the court orders the FIA has formally requested the managements of different social media sites in this regard.

The objective of the above move was to disclose the elements and their hidden motives for launching a negative campaign to damage the credibility of state institutions through social media. He said the FIA had been directed to take action on fast track basis so that the elements involved in propaganda against state institutions may be brought to book.
