
Five, Including Three Real Brothers, Sentenced To 25 Years R.I Each

MIRPUR (AJK) , (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point news - 28th july, 2016): Additional District Criminal Court Mirpur on Thursday sentenced five accused, including three real brothers, to different terms of rigorous imprisonments in the famous murder case of one Raja Muhammad Sarfraz in Baili Bathaar village in Mirpur district. The learned court comprising Additional District and Session Judge Chaudhry Muhammad Sajaad and District Qazi Awais Ahmed awarded 25 years R.I each to four accused including three real brothers identified as the accused Naseer Akber, Jehangir Akber and Tariq Akber and Muhamad Kabeer, along with fine for Rs.
Three lakh each. The learned court sentenced the fifth accused - Muhammad Arshad to five (5) years R.I. Four of the convicts were immediately arrested from the court room soon after the verdict was announced.
Besides, one of the culprits was brought to the court from the Central Jail Mirpur It may be added that one of the convicts - Naseer Akber had been serving as Deputy Administrator Mirpur Municipal Corporation and Mirpur District Council, for some time, during the outgoing PPP-led coalition government of AJK, during his days of bail in the famous murder case.
The Prime Minister Ch. Abdul Majeed-led PPP government of AJK had inducted the accused Naseer Akber, as the Deputy Administrator Mirpur Municipal Corporation and later at the Mirpur District Council in the same slot - for the reasons best known to the AJK rulers, despite knowing the reputation of the man involved in the murder case.
