Funeral Of 4 Customs Officials Held

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th August, 2016) : The funeral prayers for the four officials of the Customs Intelligence, who laid their lives in line of duty, were held on Thursday at their respective home towns. The four officials identified as Amer Hanif, Muhammad Jamil, Muhammad Ejaz and Muhammad Shakil had died in a road mishap while chasing a smuggled vehicle on Islamabad-Peshawar Motorway on Wednesday. According to the Directorate General of Customs Intelligence Islamabad, another official Shahid Latif riding the ill-fated vehicle had survived with injuries while the four other had breathed their last on the spot.
Shahid was immediately shifted to hospital where stated to be in stable condition. Meanwhile, the officials of Customs Intelligence Directorate General organized quran khwani for the departed souls. Senior officials of Federal board of Revenue and Customs had attended the funerals and expressed sympathies with the bereaved families. The deceased officials hailed from Islamabad, Abbotabad and Haripur. According to a press release, all the four deceased officials exhibited the highest degree of commitment, dedication and selfless indulgence towards the national cause of eradicating the menace of smuggling.
