Government Committed To Provide Best Health Facilities; Minister

SUKKUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -29th Augst,2016) : Sindh Minister for Health, Dr Sikandar Mandhro has said that Sindh government is committed to provide best health facilities in the province and government is taking initiatives on priority basis to improve the condition of hospitals adding that overall health situation of Sindh in comparison to other provinces is better and under controlled. Presiding over a meeting at Deputy Commissioner office on Sunday evening, he emphasized on the importance of maintaining time discipline ever since he was elected to office. Minister said that that those who did not wish to work could leave the Sindh government adding that he had fired twelve officers from the health department since they were constantly violating discipline.
The sacked employees were being absent or not arriving on time, hence action against them had been taken.
"Negligence with regard to work will not be tolerated at all," said the minister. Dr Mandhro said that they and other people of Sindh would sure see a remarkable change in governance and delivery of services under the new chief minister Syed Murad Ali Shah. On the occasion, Leader of the Opposition in NA Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah, Commissoner Sukkur Muhammad Abbas Baloch, DC Sukkur Dr Waheed Asghar Bhutti and other officials were also present. Earlier, Dr Mandhro went round various sections of the Ghulam Muhammad Mahar Medical hospital and inquired about various services, facilities, besides the routine working.
He also paid surprise visits to the various rural/basic health centres and issued on the spot directives for proper treatment facilities and improved performance of the staff.
