PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Jul, 2025) Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi, in his message on the occasion of Youm-e-Shuhada-e-Kashmir (Kashmir Martyrs’ Day), paid rich tribute to the sacrifices of the Kashmiri people.
He said that this day marks a significant moment for all, as it commemorates the bravery and martyrdom of those who stood against the oppressive Dogra regime on July 13, 1931.
"The sacrifices of these brave individuals remain alive in our hearts and continue to serve as a beacon of hope in the struggle for freedom," the Governor said.
He emphasized that the people of Kashmir have always strived for their right to self-determination, and the martyrs’ sacrifices inspire us to remain resolute in supporting their cause.
He said the struggle for the freedom of Kashmir has gained international recognition because of these sacrifices, and it is the collective responsibility of Pakistanis to stand with the Kashmiri people and amplify their voices.
Governor Kundi further added that the day is not only a remembrance of past sacrifices but also a renewal of Pakistan’s commitment to the Kashmiri cause.
"We stand shoulder to shoulder with the people of Kashmir and will continue to raise our voice for their rights."
He appreciated the role of Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, saying that Bilawal presented Pakistan’s and Kashmir’s case effectively during recent Pakistan-India tensions. As Foreign Minister, Bilawal carried forward the vision of Shaheed Zulfikqar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto regarding Kashmir.
The Governor stressed the importance of reminding the international community about the grave human rights violations taking place in Indian-occupied Kashmir and called for global pressure to stop these abuses.
