Governors Meets Minority Delegation, Assures Redressal Of Grievances

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th july, 2016) : A delegation of All FATA Social Welfare Minority Organization has called on the Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Engr. Iqbal Zafar Jhagra here at Governor's House, Peshawar on Wednesday.
The delegation led by the President of FATA Minority Organization, Wilson Wazir was comprised of Gorpal Singh, Gulzar Maseeh, Riaz Mseeh, Pepender Singh, Zaib un Nisa, Areesha Gul and others.
Additional Secretary to Governor, Attaullah Shah was also present on this occasion. The members of the delegation apprised the governor of the problems and difficulties, which the minorities of the tribal areas have been facing.
The governor assured the delegation of taking necessary action to address their grievances and said that all the minorities in Pakistan have religious freedom and complete security adding that they have equal opportunities to progress.
Paying tributes to the great contributions being made by non-Muslims for the development of the country, the Governor said that minorities are the important segment of our society. He said minorities bear wonderful role and services towards development, prosperity and better future of our beloved country in every field.
He said that non-Muslim communities of Pakistan are enjoying complete freedom as equal citizen of the beloved nation. He said steps were being made to resolve their problems and improve the socio-economic condition of the Non-Muslim community was one of the governments' priorities. The members of the delegation also lauded the endeavors of the incumbent Government for the wellbeing of the minorities especially in FATA.
Special prayers were also offered for the good health of Prime Minister Mohammad Nawaz Shareef on this occasion.
