Govt. To Establish Gems & Geological Centre In KP

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st August, 2016) : Secretary Mineral Development Department, Syed Zaheerul islam here Monday informed that provincial government would establish Gems and Geological Centre with an estimated cost of Rs100million besides he added a Mineral Park was also under consideration. Talking to All Pakistan Commercial Exporters Association (APCEA), Zulfiqar Ahmed Siddiqui at his office Secretary said gemstone was an important sector for provincial economy and the government would utilize all available resources to make progress in this field.
Establishment of Gems and Geological Centre, he said would help attract people to this sector and give valuable information to businessman attached with this business. Chairman APCEA said on this occasion that gems and geological sector was of prime importance for the economic sector of province which he said brings lot of foreign exchange to the country. The members of executive committee APCEA thanked the Secretary for visiting their office.
At the end Zulfiqar Siddiqui presented shield to the visiting Secretary.
