Govt To Establish Helpline, Online Web Portal, SMS System For

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -2nd Sep,2016) : Prime Minister's Grievances Cell working to establish a helpline, online web portal and SMS system for the general public to address their issues.

An official source told APP here on Friday, he said that also a toll free helpline is soon going to be launched whereas Federal Government is also considering to make a database of Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) to establish a separate employment exchange for the disabled and also to pay a special disability allowance for the unemployed persons.

He said that the "Prime ministers Grievances Cell" is functional since 2013 and it has disposed off 2,46,835 complaints so far. He said that Baitul-Maal can sanction upto 0.

6 million rupees for the treatment but keeping in view of the very high cost of certain diseases such as liver, kidney and bone marrow transplant it was decided that a special fund be created for that purpose.

So far the Prime minister has increased the budget of such fund from 100 million to 300 million. Also the minister has said in the last year rupees 74,733,597 for the treatment of 25 patients who need Liver or Bone marrow transplant, he added.

All the patients were from poor and deserving families and after verification from district authorities and reports from a specially constituted medical board the funds are released.
