Hepatitis Awareness Program Held In Mirpurkhas

MIRPURKHAS, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Jul, 2025) A nationwide awareness walk, seminar, and hepatitis test program were organized in Mirpurkhas under the Hepatitis Control Program of the Health Department on Saturday.

The event was held at the Old Civil Hospital Mirpurkhas and was attended by medical professionals, civil society members, and nursing students. The program aimed to raise awareness about hepatitis, its prevention, and treatment.

On this occasion, Medical Superintendent Civil Hospital Mirpurkhas, Dr. Hemji Chauhan, and Coordinator Hepatitis Program, Khurram Khan, emphasized the importance of adopting preventive measures and timely treatment to combat hepatitis.

They encouraged people to get free hepatitis tests and highlighted the availability of treatment facilities at the Civil Hospital Mirpurkhas.

During the seminar, Deputy Director Hepatitis Program, Dr. Mir Muhammad Narejo, stressed the role of nursing staff in creating awareness about hepatitis and providing preventive care.

The seminar and hepatitis test program provided a platform for people to get tested and learn about the disease. Dr. Tariq Mangrio, In-charge of the Hepatitis Center, informed participants about the treatment facilities and PCR test facilities available at the Civil Hospital Mirpurkhas.
