SUKKUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Augst,2016) : Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP), Sukkur region Captain (retd) Feroze Shah has said that the law and order situation in Sukkur district is much better now. While talking to media here, he said during the last two months, more than 35,000 vehicles in Sukkur region had been checked by the police and, resultantly, 5,000 offenders were arrested.
Apart from this, 1,237 proclaimed offenders and 1,400 absconders were arrested, he added. DIG said that action was taken against more than 150 auto-rickshaw drivers during this period and 25 to 30 stolen motorcycles have been recovered, which will be handed over to the owners shortly.
