
Independence Day To Be Observed With Simplicity: DCO

BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th August, 2016) : District government would observe independence day with simplicity and canceled all colorful ceremonies to mark solidarity with the martyrs of Quetta incident. This was decided in a high level meeting that was chaired by District Co-ordination Officer (DCO) Dr.
Ehtisham Anwer Mahaar.
The meeting decided to cancel Independence Day parade and a midnight fire work ceremony which was scheduled to be held at 12:00 pm at tonight. Besides, Shane-e-Bahawalpur awards giving ceremony has also been postponed and DCO Dr.
Ehtisham Anwer Mahaar said that only flag hosting ceremony would be held and special prayer to be offered for prosperity of the country and Fateha for the martyrs of Quetta incident.
