Irrigation dept recovers Rs 173 million as abiana

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th july,2016) : Irrigation department has recovered Rs 172.9 million water rates (abiana), from growers, during the last Rabbi and Khareef season. According to the irrigation sources, the water rates Rs 172.9 million was recovered from growers of four districts of Multan zone.

Over Rs 30 million was received from Multan district, Rs 12 million from Lodhran, Rs 84 million from Vehari and over Rs 44 million was recovered from Pakpattan district during July 2015 to June 2016. Meanwhile, over Rs 5.2 million water charges (tawan) was also recovered from these four districts Multan, Lodhran, Vehari and Pakpattan, sources added.
